The cover is made up of three parts (front board, back board & spine), wrapped with either paper,
laminated paper, linen, or even both (a half linen cover), a large range of other suitable materials
are available to choose from. The three cover board pieces may be the same thickness,
but also a thinner spine back board can be used.
This can be a straight spine, but thinner board is a necessity of a round spine book.
The interior is fixed into the cover by gluing the first and last page all-over against the inside of the cover.
Traditionally separate endpapers are used in this process.
Additional elements can be added; head & tail bands, ribbon page markers, foil blocking,
debossing, tip-ins and dust jackets. Spine width range of 8-60 mm.
(depending on the number of pages/ paper choice)
